Have you ever been unable to open a page on the web even though your computer is connected to the Internet? When you’re connected to the Internet through a Wi-Fi router but can’t get to any web page, check your wireless icon in the bottom right-hand side tray. In most cases, you will see a small yellow triangle that you can click on to get the message “No internet, safe”.
In this article, we will be learning how to fix a problem with a wireless internet connection which shows an exclamation mark on your Wi-Fi signal at the bottom right corner. If you are looking at the screen at the bottom right corner there is a Wi-Fi icon that has a small triangle yellow in color and it says no internet access that means it is connected to my wireless connection but it does not show Internet access so it is a common problem that says no internet secured and in order to fix this problem there are few steps mentioned below:
Method 1 To Fix No Internet Secured:
First, we will try uninstalling and reinstalling the wireless driver and in order to uninstall the wireless driver you need to simply right-click on the Start menu icon at the bottom left corner and the device manager is here. Simply left-click it and you will get the device manager window.
There is one more way to open a device manager you can simply type it in Cortana, so when you will type device manager in the Cortana search box, you will get the option device manager. Now you just need to find network adapters. When you find network adapters you need to click on that arrow which is at the left-hand side of the letter nor those two computers you see at the left-hand side there is a small arrow so if you click it, it will get expanded and you will see multiple options.
Now you need to find your wireless driver, now in some cases, it is Broadcom, in your case, it might be something else, it might be real tech, it might be reeling or it might be some other name but how can you find or how you can identify it, by simply looking at 802.11 b/g/n or whatever it will say Wi-Fi in it or wireless adapter but this 802.11 should be there.
Simply right-click it and click on uninstall when you get the next box you do not need to put a check and delete the driver software from this device we can simply click on uninstall and uninstallation will be completed then you can close the device manager then you can simply restart your computer so right-click on the start menu or left-click on the start menu, click on the shutdown button and simply click restart and the computer will be restarted.
Now your computer has restarted, now let’s see what is the status of your Wi-Fi, now you see it says no not connected, what connections are available and you will see a star on it so when you click it, it may give you a long list of networks and most probably your network would be at the top so you need to simply click it.
Make sure you have check-in the connect automatically, it helps you to reconnect to your wireless automatically once you reboot the machine and simply click connect, now simply enter the network key and this network key if you do not know you will find the network key on your router, at the back of your router or at the bottom of your router or on a sticker on your router, so get the key and type that key here and simply click next.
Now if you browse the internet you will have an internet connection because it says internet access so you go to Yahoo and you got an internet connection. Now, this was step number one, what happens if your problem is not getting resolved and you still have that exclamation in there so what you can do is mention it in the next method.
Method 2 To Fix No Internet Secured:
You can open a command prompt and in order to open a command prompt, simply type in Cortana search box CMD, when you type CMD you will get a command prompt, right-click on the command prompt, and then left-click on Run as administrator, you will get a prompt you will have to click on yes that prompt will be from user account control if you do not get that from that means your user account control is disabled so do not worry about that and now we have the command prompt window open with admin rights.
We will type a command IP config a blank space then a forward slash then flush D&S and simply press enter and you will get a message successfully flush the DNS resolver cache. Now we will type one more command there is NETSH space windsock space reset and press enter and again we will get the same message that successfully means we will get a positive reply successfully we said the windsock catalog and you must restart the computer in order to complete the reset, so simply close command prompt and same way click on start, click on power and then simply click on restart.
So after restarting your computer, if you check the status of your Wi-Fi, it should say internet access if it says internet access that means you have internet access, you can verify that by opening any website so these three steps should resolve your problem with Wi-Fi internet connection, where it says secured no internet access.
