Another bumper month of films is upon us, with a slew of releases hitting theatres. I’ve put up a fast list of 6 movies to watch and you don’t want to skip them in April 2022.
With so many movies published each month, it’s difficult to keep track of which ones are available on streaming and in cinemas. Furthermore, determining which ones are worth your time and should be watched is difficult. As a result, we do our best to separate the good from the bad for you.
We’re on the verge of the summer movie season, and April is bringing us a slew of blockbusters to kick things off. So, without further ado, here are the films we recommend you see in April.
In April 2022, There Will be a Number of Films to Watch
The Bubble: Netflix Streaming: Already Released on 1st April
Since it was first announced, I’ve been looking forward to The Bubble. Of course, I admire Judd Apatow’s work, but I’m also a fan of the star-studded cast, which includes Iris Apatow, Karen Gillian, Pedro Pascal, Leslie Mann, and Maria Bakalova.
Morbius: Already Released on 1st April
Is the film set to be released? I’m at a loss. Is Morbius going to turn out to be a good guy? I’m at a loss. I’m hoping it’s excellent because I’ve been watching the trailer for what seems like an eternity in theatres. Will there be a Spider-Man appearance as well? That is something that we all wish to see.
Ambulance: In Cinemas April 8th
Nobody and I means NOBODY, loves Jake Gyllenhaal more than I do. Jake is one of my favorite actors (sorry, Swifties), and we haven’t seen him in an action picture in a long time. I’m excited to watch him oppose Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who has dominated the scene for the past two years with Candyman, The Matrix Resurrections, and The Trial of the Chicago 7. What is my greatest fear? Michael Bay is a well-known director. Bay, on the other hand, knows how to shoot action.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2: In Theatres on April 8th.
Sonic the Hedgehog shattered whatever preconceived notions I had about the picture. The film was not only terrific, but it was also quite amazing on a variety of levels. I was excited to learn that there would be a sequel including Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik, the appearance of Tails, and Idria Elba as Knuckles.
The Northman: Opening in Theatres on April 22
While I didn’t care for writer/director Robert Eggers’ recent film, The Lighthouse, he is still so gifted at presenting his craft that every film he does is a must-see. The Northman has the potential to be fantastic, with a cast that includes Alexander Skarsgard, Nicole Kidman, Anya Taylor-Joy, Willem Dafoe, and many others.

The Unbearable Weight of Great Talent: In Cinemas on April 22nd
Nicolas Cage as Nicolas Cage in a film in which he gets paid a million dollars to attend his birthday party? Is there anything else you need to know about this one to get enthusiastic about it? I’m looking forward to this one and am envious of anyone who has already seen it.
