Update Your Apps Manually
Apps that you get from the App Store are automatically updated when you download them to your iPhone or iPad. But if something goes wrong, you can update an app yourself.
How to Manually Update Apps on Your iPhone or iPad
- Open the App Store.
- Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen.
- Scroll to see pending updates and release notes. Tap Update next to an app to update only that app, or tap Update All.

- Open the App Store.
- In the sidebar, click Updates.
- Click Update next to an app to update only that app, or click Update All.

Turn on Or Turn Off Automatic Updates
Turn off automatic updates if you’d rather update all your apps yourself. When you do this, the App Store will let you know whenever a new version of one of your apps comes out.
